Pakistan firmly supported Iran during war with Israel: PM Shehbaz Sharif

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that Pakistan extended unwavering support to Iran during its recent war with Israel.
Speaking at a federal cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister said the Iranian leadership had personally thanked President Asif Ali Zardari and Army Chief General Asim Munir for their backing. He praised the Iranian nation for showing courage and resilience, adding that Iran responded decisively in self-defence and expressed its desire for a dignified end to hostilities.
On domestic matters, PM Shehbaz appreciated the efforts behind the federal budget, thanking the Finance Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, coalition partners, as well as President Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto for their contributions.
He further noted that the U.S. President had openly praised Field Marshal Asim Munir’s capabilities, while former President Donald Trump also recognised his leadership qualities.
